HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! What a year last year was, we had such privileges to work with a variety of artists and in the next coming weeks all shall be revealed. But first we want to encourage you to, ‘Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.’ Proverbs 3:5 This year keep looking to God in all things and focus, don’t be derailed by comparison or thinking you are not where you want to be. We are sure you are not where you were last year and if you are then a little encouragement, take the first step to start the journey. Also talk to someone you’ll be surprised how much that might actually help. We are and have been encouraged by @slw_423 when we had the privilege to record and mix #HouseOfWorshipVol3. We also played aux keys and recorded the cajon. And yes we can play and record Cajon. Lol Two mics on the cajon, an AKG D112 at the back, in front of the sound hole picking up the lower frequencies and a Rode M3 on the front picking up the snare like sound. Then blending them both in Logic Pro X. You can’t go wrong with a bit of reverb as well. Stream/download - https://www.divinekeys.co.uk/the-word-and-me #TheWordandMe #DivineKeys #PianoMusic After the release of Idrees’ debut album, Shaphak, which was described as, ‘beautifully arranged set that addresses different topics and human experiences of knowing God’ from a review written by Mike Jariyaphruttipong of astepfwd, Idrees decided to compose a longer piece after many requests. The Word and Me, Piano piece was birthed in August 2020 when Idrees recorded a sermon (during the pandemic of 2020, and churches moved to online services) with the same title and desired to have music played underneath it. Idrees sat with the sermon and ebbed and flowed with the nuances of the words being spoken. Since then, this particular piece has been used for various things, such as the intro to the WCC online services, the bed music for Pastor Kelly’s (WCC) sermons to name a few. This particular piece was created to allow one to have a peaceful time and to bring peace to times that seem turbulent. Be it having your quiet time with the Lord, reading your bible, or just wanting something soft to go to bed to, The Word and Me piano piece takes you to a place where you can be alone with the Lord.
