This piano piece was written whilst I was playing at church behind one of my pastors who preached on how our pain as Christians makes us stronger but helps us rely more on God. The preach made me think of olives being crushed to produce olive oil. I can only imagine how painful this process must be but yet how beautiful and how useful the oil becomes after the process of crushing. We can NEVER get the oil if the process of crushing or pressing doesn’t take place. Even the process of making wine involves elements of crushing.

#TheCrushing can be anything in life, financial, health-wise, spiritual, losing a loved one, come face to face with your fears. It can be anything that you see as a struggle, anything that challenges you especially when you (from your perspective) believe you have done everything right according to ‘The Book’. The case of:

Righteous are you, O LORD, when I complain to you; yet I would plead my case before you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive?…. – Jeremiah 12:1

Obviously there is sooo much more to that saying, but initially you are thinking about how YOU are doing everything right but yet things are not working the way you have it planned out in your head, this may lead you to another famous phrase ‘Why Me’???…

For a while I have been saying, why not you/us? How do we learn if certain things don’t happen to us? How do we grow if not us? How do we get stretched with life lessons? Even deeper how do we become more like Him?? The Biggest Crushing of Man Kind…
